In the recorded history, coffee and Ethiopia were entwined starting from 800-900 (CE), with the discovery of coffee berries or cherries by an Ethiopian shepherd named Kaldi while tending his goats.

Our story
As every Ethiopian, we grew up being sent by our parents to tell our neighbors coffee is ready, who would gather around the coffee being brewed, while we sit eagerly waiting for popcorn and bean sprouts to be shared around, the sweet scent of smoking incense mixed with the toasty aroma of roasting coffee, laughter and chatter, passing coffee cups and trying to sip the last drop of coffee left from the returning cups where the undissolved sugar made it sweetest, introduced us to the world of coffee. We drink coffee because it enhances productivity.
As we grew up, we learned the direct impact coffee have on Ethiopia’s socioeconomic environment of around 2million house hold, farmers, long before utilizing its unmet potential.
Our company name was inspired by one of the glorious Ethiopian queen, Inkopa.
